Building Blocks

In Safina, I learned the importance of knowing different animals’ individuality and uniqueness. It is important to understand that animals should not be limited by words that describe humans based on their logic of behavior and way of life, and as such, they should be treated as independent individuals and not be underrepresented.
From the SMC, I learned that dolphins face serious problems with toxic contamination. The research study further helped me to focus on marine pollutants and set the theme as the main topic.
Furthermore, by researching different organizations that support marine species, I learned how organizations can act and what can be done as individuals. The findings show me the importance of listening to different voices on social media and taking a closer look at current issues.

Peer Review
In the peer review processes, the most important part I focused on was the structure and flow. I believe it is important for the research paper to have a good structure with lots of details explained fully. The advice I gave was mainly based on the audience's perspective and how I felt about the connection between their points. The advice I received from awesome classmates gave me lots of suggestions on format and grammar. That advice is meaningful for me to make revisions, and take a closer look at my format and sentence structure.

This is the best advice I gave. I was suggesting to David in his literature review how he can connect his resources better by building a bridge between them rather than connecting them too tightly. The audience might feel confused when the evidence were shown too closely without explanation. I choose this one because I also had similar questions, so I had to work on bridging my evidence too.
One of the best pieces of advice I received is from professor Hass about my formating. Formatting is always a problem that I tried to avoid. This advice is from Literature Review which is our first big assignment, and I choose this revision because it reminds me to be more careful with books’ titles.
Another best piece of advice I receive is from one of my classmates who suggested I have more information in conclusion. I think this advice further explained the points I wanted to make and make my structure clearer.
