I found lots of research relating to animal problems and solutions in the Twitter update. Dolphins face different problems because of human activities, including manufacturing and overfishing. These activities can not only cause physical harm to dolphins but also to their food chain. I also found an interesting video that helps me with my research study since it is also from the same researcher of the paper. In the National Geography video, he proved how dolphins could cooperate to do certain things when they learn from humans. Dolphins can also recognize themselves by putting a mirror in front of them to see. I found an interesting account called Oceanwire, which has lots of information about current issues to pay attention to. The quote inspires me, "the health of one ecosystem supports the functioning of the other." Every nature connects with each other, and every animal and creature matters to Earth.
I responded to Tony Pau about his study on ants' consciousness. His analysis is focused and provides two approaches to the possible outcome. He mentions that " the tests said results in the conclusion that ants and their use of their pheromones can sometimes be seen as a conscious behavior while others can see it as automata." He is careful with his word, which is good when using evidence. I also choose Emily Elizabeth Santo's post about the elephant. I prefer the post because it is fun to study elephant behavior and learn about elephants' consciousness. The third person I picked is Jingyi, who is doing dog research. She has a fun research study that focuses on human relations with dogs.
